FirstMile

Privacy

What we keep, what we never store, and how to take it all back. Effective August 17, 2026.

01What you give us

Your email address (that is the whole login: a six-digit code, no password to store or leak), the profile you fill in (name, goals, how running is going), and your conversations with your coach. The conversations are the product: the coach remembers so you don't have to re-explain yourself every run.

02Form Check videos

Your video is never stored. When you send a form-check clip, it is processed in memory: we pull a handful of still frames, the coach looks at them to read your form, and the video is gone when the analysis ends. It is never written to disk, never kept, never used for anything else. What stays is the coach's written feedback, in your conversation like any other message.

03Strava, only if you connect it

Connecting Strava is optional. If you do, we ask Strava for read-only access and use it to see your activities, so the coach works from your real training. Posting to your Strava is not something we do; if that ever becomes a feature, it will be a separate, explicit opt-in. Want Strava disconnected? Email us and it is done, tokens deleted.

04The AI, named plainly

Your coach is built on Anthropic's Claude models. Your messages, profile context, and form-check frames are sent to Anthropic's API to generate the coach's replies, the same way any message you send an app travels to its servers. We do not use your data to train models, and we do not sell it to anyone.

05Who else touches the plumbing

That is the complete list. No ad networks, no cross-site trackers, no analytics companies. Our usage counters are aggregate numbers with no IP addresses and nothing personal in them, and even the fonts on this page are served from our own site.

06Yours to take back

Want a copy of everything, a correction, or your account and every trace of it deleted? Email jamesongfrancis@icloud.com from your account email and it happens, no questions, usually within 48 hours.

07Who this is for

FirstMile is for adults and teens 13 and up. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly keep their data.

If our practices change, this page changes first and the date above moves. Questions before you trust us with anything: same email, we answer. See also the terms.
